Sometimes you want to let someone down nicely. This is not one of those times. "Wearing your heart on your sleeve" means having your feelings out where everyone can see them, and the same thing goes for these hearts on your socks as long as those feelings are along the lines of "ew, gross, go away." If you're gonna kick someone to the curb, you should be comfortable and stylish while doing so, and there's nothing better for that than these socks. They're even still (somewhat) in the spirit of Valentine's Day. I mean, the design is still candy hearts, so people will say "oh, how cute!" until they get close enough to actually read them, and then instead they will say, "those socks are so badass, where can I get a pair?" and you should tell them.
