Ruby Zoisite (also called Anyolite) is found primarily in Tanzania, where Ruby and Zoisite formed together in the same metamorphic rock. The name "Anyolite" comes from the Masai word anyoli, meaning "green." The combination of these two minerals in a single stone is relatively rare and makes each piece a unique geological event. The black inclusions often seen in Ruby Zoisite are hornblende, a common amphibole mineral.
