This Djembe is made of lightly varnished mahogany wood, and is skin covered. The drum has ropes along the sides to carry it easily.
Handmade in Bali, Djembe are said to be the magical drum. They transmit the vibrations of the tree it is made of, the animal spirit of which the head is made and the state of mind of the artisan that carved the instrument.
Although we do not seek to bear the official fair trade certification, our musical instruments from Bali are crafted in a very peaceful environment where working conditions are ethical. The skin is made of cow leather.
