According to Dante's Inferno, the Sixth Circle of Hell is reserved for those who commit heresy — in this case, the rejection of political and religious norms. But it doesn't even take a second to think of dozens of those norms that NEED to be broken because all they do is make people miserable. Maybe if things didn't suck so bad, nobody would want to commit heresy in the first place, but did the authorities ever take that idea seriously? Nahh. These socks bear the image of a classic demon perching above a sea of ghostly skulls, ready to raise an army of heretics and wage all-out war on stagnant thinking, just like we waged a war on socks that had obnoxious toe seams. It needs to be done.
