People have been using it since 2000 BC in ancient Egypt as a perfume during the embalming process, while Romans used it in funeral pyres to mask the stench of burning flesh. Harvested from the inner bark of a tropical Evergreen plant, cinnamon has also been used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat respiratory and digestive problems for centuries. Today, cinnamon is one of the most common ingredients used in our kitchen for the soothing, woody, spicy yet sweet nature. Cinnamon scent also invigorates and warms the census, producing the feeling of joy.
